A catch-all functionality that is enabled for a given email mailbox will allow you to receive emails that are sent to addresses that do not really exist. To state it differently, if you remove an email address and somebody still sends an email message to it, or to any mistyped email address under the exact same domain name, you’ll get the email in the catch-all mailbox. Using this feature means that you will no longer miss an email for any reason whatsoever, which could be essential if you are running a company, for instance. Since you may start receiving spam email messages, you can combine the catch-all functionality with email filters so as to get only legitimate messages in your inbox. Only one mailbox per domain name can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be enabled for a catch-all mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Website Hosting

If you have a Linux website hosting package with us and you would like to activate the catch-all feature for a particular e-mailbox that you have in the account, it will take literally just a single mouse click in the Email Manager section of your Hepsia hosting Control Panel to do that. A catch-all button is available on the right side of each and every email address that you have set up under any domain name hosted in your account. You can choose one single email address per domain by clicking the respective button. This will activate the feature immediately, so all email messages sent to miswritten addresses will be re-sent there. Clicking the button for a second time will turn off the catch-all feature. If you’ve got active email forwarding, our system will exhibit a cautionary message and you won’t be able to enable the catch-all feature unless you deactivate the forwarding or you can simply choose some other mailbox to be the catch-all one.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Hosting

The catch-all option can be enabled without effort if you have a semi-dedicated server plan with our company. All the email addresses that you’ve set up using the domain names hosted in your semi-dedicated account will be shown in the Hepsia hosting Control Panel’s Email Manager section and you’ll see a mini symbol handily situated directly next to each one of them. With just one click of the mouse, you can enable or disable the catch-all option for any mailbox of your choosing as long as there isn't another mailbox under that same domain with the option already enabled and there isn't activated email forwarding. Instead, you can right-click on an email address and enable the feature through the context menu that will pop up. In case any of the requirements for configuring a catch-all mailbox is not matched, our system will inform you, but will not deactivate or replace anything automatically.
